Accessibility Statement

Concerts at the Point

Concerts at the Point is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities.

Our approach

We are working toward alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the widely recognized standard for web accessibility. This includes efforts such as:

  • Providing descriptive alt text for images
  • Using clear heading structure so screen readers can navigate the page logically
  • Ensuring the site can be navigated using a keyboard alone
  • Maintaining sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Labeling form fields clearly, including on our ticket checkout

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time fix, and we continue to review and improve the site as we find issues or hear from visitors.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the site — including content or functionality provided by third parties such as our payment processor, Stripe — may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working to address barriers as they’re identified.

Reporting a problem

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on our site, or need information in an alternate format, please contact us at pointconcerts@gmail.com. Let us know:

  • The page or feature where you ran into trouble
  • The nature of the problem
  • The assistive technology you were using, if applicable

We’ll do our best to respond promptly and address the issue.

Accessibility at our concerts

Concerts are held at Westport Point United Methodist Church, which offers accessible seating and ramp access into the building. At this time, the venue does not have hearing assistance devices available.

If you have accessibility needs for attending a concert in person, please contact us in advance at pointconcerts@gmail.com so we can assist.
