Our founder
Rosamond W. Wadsworth
Concerts at the Point exists because of Roz’s creativity, prodigious energy, love of music, and dedication to the Westport community. A lyric soprano, teacher, and tireless organizer, she founded the series in 1996 and led it for many years. Since her death in 2024, a generous bequest from her family continues to support the organization that was so close to her heart.
EDUCATION
Learning in Concert
Since 2013 we have underwritten the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra’s year-long program in Tiverton, Westport, and Fall River elementary schools. Each year explores a concept shared by music and the wider curriculum — Symmetry, Contrast, Gravity, Balance — culminating each spring at the Young People’s Concert at the Zeiterion Theater.
