Privacy Policy

Concerts at the Point Effective date: July 10, 2026/

Who we are

Our website address is: https://concertsatthepoint.org.

Concerts at the Point presents live musical performances at Westport Point United Methodist Church, located in Massachusetts. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or purchase tickets, and how we use it.

Ticket purchases

When you buy tickets through our website, you check out as a guest — we do not require you to create an account. During checkout we collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Billing address (as required for payment processing)
  • Order details (event, ticket quantity, price, date of purchase)

This information is used to process your order, send your ticket confirmation, and, if needed, contact you about a change or cancellation to the event you purchased tickets for.

We retain order records indefinitely for accounting, tax, and customer service purposes (for example, if you need us to look up a past order).

Payment processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, including payments made via Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do not collect or store your full credit card number, card expiration date, or CVV on our servers — that information is transmitted directly to Stripe.

Stripe’s handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policy, available at: https://stripe.com/privacy.

Cookies

Our site may use cookies required for the shopping cart and checkout process to function (for example, to remember what’s in your cart as you browse). These are technical cookies necessary for the site to work and do not track you across other websites.

We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Media

If you upload images to the site (for example, in a comment or submission form), avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from any images published on it.

Embedded content

Pages on this site may include embedded content (such as videos or social media posts). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly — it may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, especially if you’re logged into an account with that service.

Who we share data with

  • Stripe — processes all ticket payments (see above).
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Mailing list

We do not currently operate an email mailing list or newsletter signup. If we add one in the future, this policy will be updated to describe what information is collected, how it’s used, and how you can unsubscribe.

How long we retain your data

  • Order data (name, email, billing address, purchase history): retained indefinitely for accounting, tax, and support purposes.
  • Comments (if applicable): retained indefinitely to support automatic approval of follow-up comments.

Your rights over your data

If you’ve purchased tickets through our site or left a comment, you can request:

  • An export of the personal data we hold about you
  • Deletion of that personal data

To make a request, contact us at pointconcerts@gmail.com. Some information may need to be retained for legal, tax, or accounting purposes even after a deletion request.

Children’s privacy

Our site and ticketing service are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our payment processor, features on the site, or applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
